Nitric Oxide have become huge in the last couple of years and supplement companies jumped on it. Nitric Oxide is also produced by your body and it is said that the amounts your body produces is a lot more than you can find in supplements. The question is is further arginine based N.O. products good or bad for putting on mass and are there negative effects of N.O. Supplementing?
I read in a book that Arginine supplementation can actually mute growth hormone, hindering muscle gain. So that got me curious about hearing more opinions and facts about Nitric Oxide supplements besides ther few I have read promoting it.
In this article, Nitric Oxide Supplements – Miracle or Not?, they discuss the health benefits of nitric oxide supplementations and the cardiovascular system.
However in this article: Naked Truth- No good NO Stimulators, they get a lot more into detail and the marketing tactics of NO stimulators.
This article talks about the benefits and negative effects of l-Arginine and also tells you a bit about it.
This article: The Ins and Outs Of Arginine talks about the discovery of Nitric Oxides and well…the Ins and outs.
So after you read those articles you may want to research some more and ask yourself if taking a Nitric Oxide supplement is something you really want or need.
I honestly don’t think I will be taking anymore Nitric Oxide supplements. I’ll stick to proteins, eating right and working out.

sigh.
as a personal trainer, supplements are probably the most frustrating thing I come across.
You can get absolutely every nutrient you ever need through a well balanced diet. Building copious amounts of muscle through supplement, as opposed to weightlifting which also builds the connective tissues at an equal pace, will only set you up for injury, illness, or worse.
as a testiment to how crazy people are about supplements, i was studying for my certification they actually told us to choose our words very carefully when explaining this to people as to not piss them off.
but i just did, im sure.
also, about 90% of the population gets more protein than they need in a day and the rest gets stored as fat.
feel free to yell at me now.
