Is your business ordering Windows 7

Microsoft Windows 7 is due on October 22, but it was already announced during the World Partner Conference in New Orleans over a week ago that Microsoft is allowing businesses to order Windows 7 starting September 1 which is almost 6 weeks ahead of the consumer timeline for the release of their new operating system.

I think all eyes are on the September 1 timeline instead of the October 22 consumer release since Microsoft would already gauge whether the excitement and positive comments of Windows 7 would translate into massive orders of the operating system.
In an ealier survey, 60 percent of businesses already claimed that they are skipping Windows 7, and during the first few weeks after Sept. 1, Microsoft and the industry are going to get a feel on how the next operating system is going to fare. Beating Windows Vista might now be a tough order for Windows 7, but surely overtaking Windows XP is going to be their primary focus.
