Waaaah! Australia lost to Italy!
Can you believe it? Italy scored at the last minute, 95+’ penalty by Francesco Totti. My heart sank. Now, I’m heartbroken.
Italy’s the fifth team to qualify for the Quarterfinals, joining Germany who’ll be playing Argentina, and England, playing Portugal. I’m guessing the three remaining will be Brazil, Switzerland, and Spain.
Now bugger off and allow me to mourn.

Sasha,
I share your sentiment. I was fuming this morning at the outcome of the game. Grrrr!
Well, Im sure when we all wake-up from this nightmare, all will be alright. The Socceroos made us really, really proud.
Cheers,
Carina
Look at the bright side, you enjoyed 95 minutes thinking Australia really had chance against a super power italy. :)

Carina: Yes, that is true. Even if it would have been nice for the Socceroos to get to the finals, them qualifying for the round of 16 was fantastic on its own. It is their first time back in the World Cup after all.
Still be cheering them on!
Milo: It’s better to have your loyalties lie on something specific rather than cheer the “super power” team who only scored a penalty to win the match over the “weak” Socceroos.
It had to take 95 minutes to win the game??? If that’s how you define “super power” — Heh.
And oh, having said what you did, make sure you have no plans of visiting the land down under anytime soon — you’ll be castrated for that. Hahaha.
