Italian underdogs won the gold medal over favourite Canadians. The Canadian team almost forfeited the race early on when a skater almost fell. The Canadians tried their hardest to narrow the Italian lead, but fell short at 2 laps from the finish line.
This is a little bit of a disapointment as both the Men’s and Women’s team had a chance for gold, but two silver medals is not bad either.
Netherlands won consolation bronze over Norway.
