It’s all going down the “tubes”

Of course there’s been all the activity and discussion about Net Neutrality and Congressman Steven’s views on what’s going on in that arena.

Granted his viewpoint is a wee bit mininformed, and it’s absolutely scary that he’s the one leading or overseeing the communications initiatives for the government.

I don’t want to associate myself too much with him, but I do have a question. Haven’t we discussed the bandwidth issues related to the internet as needing to widen the “pipes”? Isn’t the flow of electrons being pushed through “tubes” of wire from one place to another (except for wi-fi). So, saying that the internet is series of tubes isn’t completely off.
Net Neutrality discussion.
