Japanese are on a Hurry to Replace Vista

October 20, 2006 by Milo Riano

Microsoft announced Japan is replacing their Windows XP in 2 – 3 years time making Windows Vista their number 1 selling operating system. According to Microsoft’s research, Japanese culture of replacing their computers in 2 years time is the main reason Windows Vista is going to overtake Windows XP. They are expecting that the new computers bought shall contain Windows Vista and with the power of their vendor network primarily Dell and HP, Vista’s success in Japan is a sure thing.

How about US? I think Vista sales in US are going to blaze once consumers experience the power of Vista. With or without cycle of PC replacement, Vista’s power may just overtake XP in the same time as the Japanese market.
