Of all the highlights I have seen of NHL fights, this was the strangest by far.
Jarkko Ruutu and Jason Peters got in a little skirmish during last night’s game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators.
The biting incident happened in the first period of Buffalo’s 4-2 win Tuesday night when Peters forcefully rubbed the palm of his glove into Ruutu’s face at the Senators bench.
Ruutu denies biting Peters. But if you look at the clip, it’s clear that Peters grabs his hand and winces in pain.
Biting? Really? What’s next, pulling hair?
