Jay-Z was set to drop his Blueprint 3 album this Friday to commemorate the release of the first Blueprint album on September 11, 2001 (which debuted at #1 despite the fact that it came out on the same day as the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon).

I’m guessing Hova’s entrepreneurial skills beat out any nostalgia since he’s chosen to bless the world with his third installment on a Tuesday, just like virtually every other artist. People look for new releases on that day of the week – not Fridays – so I think the change in launch dates was a smart idea.
The album features the song “Run This Town” on which Jay collaborated with Rihanna and Kanye West.
I haven’t heard a full preview but if it is anywhere near as good as his American Gangster album, I’ll be pretty happy. Here’s the track listing for Blueprint 3:
- What We Talkin’ About (Jay-Z + Luke Steele of Empire Of The Sun)
- Thank You
- D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune)
- Run This Town (Jay-Z + Rihanna + Kanye West)
- Empire State Of Mind (Jay-Z + Alicia Keys)
- Real As It Gets (Jay-Z + Young Jeezy)
- On To The Next One (Jay-Z + Swizz Beatz)
- Off That (Jay-Z + Drake)
- A Star Is Born (Jay-Z + J. Cole)
- Venus Vs. Mars
- Already Home (Jay-Z + Kid Cudi)
- Hate (Jay-Z + Kanye West)
- Reminder
- So Ambitious (Jay-Z + Pharrell)
- Young Forever (Jay-Z + Mr Hudson)
