Winning a tennis match definitely isn’t the only way tennis stars fill their bank accounts. If you can land a decent endorsement, most of them pay really well.
Jelena Dokic is making a comeback this year and she proved so during the 2009 Australian Open quarter-finals. Times have been tough for Dokic, but she seems to be bouncing back quite nicely.

It’s being reported that she has landed an endorsement deal with Lacoste. A deal that could potentially be worth $4.4 million over the next three years. You know what that means? We will most likely be seeing Jelena Dokic dressed in Lacoste on the court.
In fact, she was dressed in the brand during the Sony Ericcson. She reached the second round, but was stopped from going any further by Caroline Wozniacki.
There are also talks that she has signed a deal with the Australian budget airline Jetstar.

This article doesn’t give much info. How much will the contract pay per year? What incentives are built into the contracts? If there are any? This is an inside industry deal are the shoes La Coste too? JetStar is an outside endorsement so how long is the term of this contract? Exactly how marketable is Jelena Dokic? Are these deals based upon on court results or popularity?
Well my advice to this lady is too concentrate on playing the grand slams. With all the wear and tear she’s had on the body and her age take precaution. Drop the doubles and playing every week. Avoid burnout she’s too old for that stuff now. Play and schedule with an awareness of maturity. Wta tour management have never been on her side nor USTA tennis executive neither Tennis Australia. So Good luck. If it doesn’t work out she can always sell wine. Good luck!
