Jesse Jackson: “Did I say that?”

Upon finishing an interview with a Fox News correspondent, former presidential candidate, the Reverend Jesse Jackson (Sr.) was heard (via a still “hot” microphone) saying less than complimentary remarks about Senator Barack Obama’s recent interactions with the African American community.
After learning that the comments had been heard, Reverend Jackson contacted the Obama Campaign to apologize, and on Wednesday, made a formal apology on CNN’s Situation Room. Coincidentally, Fox News was, reportedly, poised to air the recording later on Wednesday.
Rev. Jackson explained that he is in full support of Senator Obama’s candidacy, however he hopes that Obama’s message to black voters will be broader than just a “moral challenge”.
Jackson, most likely, had little trouble contacting someone in Barack’s camp as his son, Jesse Jackson, Jr., is co-chair of the Senator’s campaign.
UPDATE: Barack Obama has accepted Jackson’s apology and, reportedly, “shrugged off” the recorded comments.

If anything I think that Obama will be helped by Jackson’s holier-than-though comments.
