Jessica Simpson: Flaunts Her Bod and Then Cries Foul When She’s Called Fat

Jessica Simpson (who is dating Dallas Cowboy Quarterback Tony Romo) is getting tons of press the last few days because she showed up at a concert looking heavier than usual. Not fat in the sense of the average girl, mind you, but heavier than her usual frame.

Jessica’s sister Ashlee has bit back at tabloids who reported her as fat, and other celebs have been “speaking out” about the fact that she isn’t fat, and all this hoopla is “weight-ism” and yadda yadda.

But here’s the thing, people. Is Jessica Simpson fat? No. I’d say most women would love to be as “fat” as Jessica Simpson. And it does bother me when people take a perfectly healthy and beautiful gal and criticize her. It’s bad for the average young girls out there who already feel bad about their bodies because of society’s outrageous standards. It’s ridiculous.

Know what’s equally ridiculous? A pop star who makes her body part of her “brand.” She makes a video where she slides around a soapy car in a bikini and another where she’s wearing nothing but a shirt in a bathtub and in the back of a truck.

Jessica Simpson has made her body part of the conversation. She herself has done this by flaunting her bod. And all those young gals who have unrealistic ideals to live up to? Jessica’s behavior adds to that problem.

But when things change and her body changes, she is NOT allowed to call foul when she gets criticized. Her sister Ashlee wonders why people can make Jessica’s weight a newsworthy story…. well it’s because Jessica HERSELF has done this. If you’re going to strut your stuff pointlessly to grab attention, you can’t complain when the attention turns from positive to negative.
