I just recently came across Joel Comm when he was flogging his latest product through a newsletter of an affiliate. I took the time to compare what he's selling to what I already have.

Here it is:
http://smart-random-acts.com/compare-Joel-Comm-to-SBI.html

It was definitely worth my time to do the comparison.
Hope you find this useful.

All I'm going to say is that there are very few bloggers whose advice I trust, and Yaro is one of them. He's proven himself over and over.

I'm think on more on the fence with Duncan on this one .. If it's associated to any names such as .. Joel Comm, plus Mike Filsaime, Mark Joyner, Shawn Casey, Paulie Sabol, Frank Kern, Ed Dale, Rick Butts, Keith Baxter et al .. I like to move on, stay away and believe everything is unbelievable overpriced. As such, I haven't read Yaro's review - I just clicked Next! I'll go read it after this post.

I'm sure THESE GUYS are all doing quite well with their new marketing scheme .. I got fed up with the spam emails where everything was "hush hush but you can get in on the ground floor for only $297" crap. And it's too bad about the spam emails (I still get them) that go directly into my trash..

I did like that Instant Buzz concept .. Have you seen that? It was a surf for credits type of scheme, similar to blog explosion, traffic swarm, trafficG, blog clicker etc etc - with linking member sites popping up on a toolbar in your browser. I had it installed. My stats were the highest during that time for traffic less than 5 seconds.

I agree with you. This review by Yaro was pretty decent and comprehensive, apart from being the only one I could find that just said, buy it now, you have to or you are a total dork and going to be left in the dust.

In the internet marketing world a new dawn is coming which will be a backlash against the exploitation of newbies. Signs of reformation are already in the wind. This is the real trend - it is fueled by market demand and the human desire to be not taken for a schmuck.

The dream makers can't also be dream breakers or they will be pushed off their pedestal by those they serve.

Peace out.

Thanks for having the courage to call a spade a spade. The somewhat incestuous world of "Internet marketeers" has me so jaundiced that I seldom buy anything.

Having just gone through an actual server outage/server move I know it can happen, but these guys, who still seem to all be in cahoots with each other, clearly don't read each other's BS. It's reached the point that every time I read about a new product I can expect to get at least a couple messages from other marketeers about their servers being unable to keep up with the demand.

My advice guys? Get a decent server, put out some real product rather than just another rehash of the last guy's, and make your damn sales letters less than 25 screen pages long ... you'll never know how many products I never got to even seriously consider because I quit halfway through the page after page of poorly written dreck.

If the product is any good you can sell it in 10 bullet statements or less. And have enough belief in the product's value to put the price on the same page. If you're scared to post the price, I'm not going to waste my time searching for it. Otherwise, I just know it's outdated junk that you're desperate to unload on some unsuspecting schmuck..

[...] And yes, unlike some of the others who have tried to flog this ebook to me, I’ve actually purchased the book, after all, if there is so much hype, it should be worth a look, right? (ok, maybe not, but I just wanted to take a look). [...]

I don't think the marketer who writes the most text or uses the most time in preparing the ad copy deserves to win. This easy "website down, now up, go get it" thing seems to serve its purpose. I can understand that some purists complains about the disguised referral id.

Thanks Jamsi - I put a full working Monday into writing my "prelaunch" for Mike's product, which I think is a great book. I wanted to help people to genuinely decide whether the book was for them. It's shame though because not many people know about my blog and my review of the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript. Despite your misgivings about Joel, I do admire his reach online and I know he has worked hard to get himself where he is today, even if some people don't like his methods.

I really appreciate the recommendation too Jamsi! It's amazing how many emails were flying all around the place for this launch, unfortunately most Internet Marketers at the moment seem to on super affiliate pushes each week - which is fine, that's how JVs work, and most of them are enjoying much more financial success than me - what I don't like is the trend away from providing any value when the affiliate/JV promotions are done. More often it's 100% sales pitch.

That being said there are a few good "packages" out there were you can buy Mike's book with a bunch of bonuses thrown in - Cody's package looks great so it's not surprising to see him at the top of the affiliate standings for the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript.
