Joey deVilla On Becoming a Microsoft Employee

Playing to the poolI just read a post from a friend that I had the opportunity to meet and work with ever so briefly through b5media. Joey deVilla, the Accordion Guy, and I met during his first week with b5media, which coincided with SXSW 2008 in Austin, TX. Through changes in the economy and the world of online publishing, his position was eventually unneeded and he was let go from the b5 team, a great loss.

He is now employed as a Tech Evangelist for Microsoft. In his post he shares his employment experiences and adventures leading up to his time with b5media. He also shares the thoughts and challenges he worked through as he interviewed and was eventually hired to work for Microsoft.

I think it’s a very interesting read for anyone that may currently be unemployed and trying to determine the best decision to make for their employment.
