Symonds is a better fielder than Rhodes, Ponting or Kaif.

I think Rhodes was the best stopper i’ve ever seen. But the dude really didnt hit the stumps enough.

I think Raju left around the time I started watching the game. Don’t know what became of him.

I think I’ll do a post on Kaif. He’s the most brilliant fielder after Rhodes, IMO. Uncle J may differ on that. Ozzies are always going to vote for Ponting.

I hadn’t heard of Portman before I saw the blog post. And I didn’t find her half as good as Knightley. But I’ll check that post out again!

At times I had felt that the seniors were clogging up the pipeline. Just festering in the team, milking their career for all its worth and in the process dashing the hopes of talented juniors.

Kapil Dev was my first suspect. Lately; I had harbored the same suspicion on Sachin.

However, his feisty batting during the last two series has made me think there is still some life left in him.

Don’t get me started on Agarkar. For the life of me I could never understand why or how he keeps popping up and confounding our hopes.

Zaheer, sadly seems to have fallen. The zest seems to have gone and complacency seems to have set in. Maybe a stint in the English county will do him good. (I see, you have cleverly sidestepped my attempt to provoke you on his hold over young and ahem…. nubile females.)

Kaif, is one other enigma. Possibly another victim of the obnoxious ‘zone quota’. It has severely dented his confidence.

Like you, I would dearly love to see him in the team.

After culling Dravid, Tendulkar and ganguly you can reinstate Venkatapathi Raju, i miss him.

My dad belongs to the “cull them all (seniors)” campaign. Everyone has their views. I don’t, however, agree with him, obviously.

Zaheer and Agarkar are two people that we can comfortably do without. I don’t understand why they keep getting Agarkar on and off (like he never actually gets to play but scoops up the prize money, nevertheless).

I would like to see someone like Kaif in the team; he’s great for the sport, but heck, fielding isn’t enough to get someone selected.

Ganguly and Dravid and Zaheer should be culled.

Ganguly is past it, Dravid is unfortunately struggling.

Zaheer should be culled and if legal should also be castrated(spell?) because I dont like the way all you young things moon over him.

More or less we end up having the Twenty20 team.

Your Dad is a perspective man, so would like to know why he did not want Tendulkar.

I didn’t mean that they stop it or not do it at all.
I think we can hold on to Tendulkar and Dravid for some more time; we want the young guns to have some folks to look up and lean on to.

This certainly is time for a cull. Ganguly, IMO, should go.

My dad is of view that we should have played the same team that won the T20. You believe the same?
