Jon Runyan is Looking for a Team

Jon Runyan, the offensive tackle who played right tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles last season, has been cleared to start running after having microfracture surgery in February. Although the Eagles released him during the offseason, there’s still a chance that he stays in Philadelphia.
The 35-year-old who played his college football at Michigan has played 192 consecutive games in the NFL. It appears as if that streak will continue — as long as he finds a job.
Once he shows that he’s healthy, expect a team to take a chance on him. He’s 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds and is still considered an above average offensive lineman by most scouts. If the Eagles don’t want him, someone else will.
In the 1996 NFL Draft, the Houston Oilers selected Runyan in the fourth round. He became a starter only six weeks into his NFL career. In the 2000 offseason, he was signed by the Eagles. In 2002, he was named to the Pro Bowl.
