Jump for Joy

What makes you happy?
What makes you REALLY happy?
So happy, that you’ll jump for joy?
Your company?
Your job?
Your team?
Your friends?
Your family?
Today, focus on what’s making YOU jump for joy!
If it’s a person…let them know.
Write a thank you note, make a phone call, or bake them some cookies.
If it’s a place…spend some time there.
Go to where you can jump for joy.
You don’t have to spend all day jumping for joy.
But life is too short not to jump for joy every once in a while.
Make TODAY the day you jump for joy.

Great post! This reminds me of a quote from Harold Whitman -
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive.”
Cedric Watine wrote a great hint once on the Manager Tools forum: every evening before going to sleep, write down the three things that were most pleasing or satisfying about your day. This will help you to lead a happy life.
That’s a great one Rob! I recommend keeping a gratitude journal close by so when you’re having a bad day, you can find something great that’s happened and feel better.
GREAT quote! Thanks for sharing it Tanmay!
