Just say No to Favre

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
With a name like a high priced perfume, you would think that bringing Brett Favre into Minnesota would not stink so much for the local fans, but you would be wrong. Maybe they don’t want Green Bay’s leftovers, who knows. There are a sizable number of fans wearing Vikings parkas that do not want Brett on the team.

Brett will soon have your teams jersey on, just wait.

Have they noticed that the Vikings do not have a quarterback? Maybe not or maybe they just don’t care.

If the Vikings want to sell tickets, they should sign Brett Favre. If they want ESPN to build a base camp in Eden Prairie, they should sign Brett Favre. If they want to coax John Madden (or is it Frank Caliendo, I can’t tell them apart anymore) out of retirement, and have him park his Winnebago at Winter Park, they should sign Brett Favre. If they want the Metrodome to become the petri dish in which the most interesting experiment in the NFL is conducted, they should sign Brett Favre.

One of the more interesting comments being made by Vikings fans is that Brett will not get the Vikings to the Super Bowl. Here is a newsflash for you, even without Brett, you are not going to the Super Bowl, so why not hook up with Brett and enjoy the ride?
