Keep Up with Your RSS Feeds or Miss the Drinks

Here’s a reason for making sure you set up – and read regularly – RSS feeds for blogs you are interested in: so you don’t miss the drinks.

The thought was prompted by a throwaway by Ross Dawson, speaking at his very successful event in Sydney during the week – Web 2.0 in Australia – when he mentioned a follow-on drinks event that evening: if we’d read his blog, he said, we’d have known about it.

Tough for those not keeping up.

I’d booked myself on a flight out of Sydney that night and had to be at the airport about when the drinks were to be on, so I wouldn’t have been able to make it.

From Ben Barren’s account and pics, he and others who were up to speed with Ross’s posts had an enjoyable evening.
