Keyshawn Johnson, Kevin Kolb – NFL Questions I

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Keyshawn Johnson pictured here at the local laundry mat. His quote? “All me, baby, all me”
This could get a little crazy, so if you are drinking, please sit down.
If you are throwing knives at some women dressed in a sexy looking outfit in multi-colors strapped to a spinning wheel, then you are just strange and should go somewhere else where you may be appreciated. Freak.
Ok, we got that out of the way. Just like how the Panthers got Keyshawn out of the way.
It was Goodbye, Key ‘all me’ Shawn.
Only in Fantasy sports is the spoiled throw the ball to me player important.
In real sports, you need to be a team player in some way.
Terrell Owens. Oh, you had to throw that one in my face, didn’t you. The old rent a championship or so you think player. It doesn’t work. Chemistry counts.
The player that stands up and announces he will kill the other team and gets his whole team believing it, is a whole lot different from the guy that says you did not throw the ball to me often enough and who won anyway?
Keyshawn was doomed as soon as Dwayne Jarrett was drafted.
When the Carolina Panthers drafted Southern California receiver Dwayne Jarrett in the second round Saturday, Keyshawn Johnson was ecstatic.
“This is a great pick. We need another wide receiver,” Johnson gushed while working as a draft analyst for ESPN. “This guy is much like me. I’m going to teach him how to play from the point of attack.” source
Carolina thought about that and cut him.
Keyshawn was released by Dallas to make cap room for Terrell Owens, who came from Philly, where he had been feuding with Donovan McNabb and that takes us to Philly and their second pick in the draft – Kelvin Kolb err Kelly Kolbin, err Kellen Kob, hey, just who is this guy?
Kevin Kolb quarterback
Kevin Kolb is a mystery pick for the Eagles. Donovan McNabb has to be wondering, when they needed defensive players, why take a QB. Especially one that most analysts had further down the board.
The fans were not too happy with the pick.
“I understand the fans are that way. I love passionate fans. We didn’t always have that in college. I can’t wait for it. And these fans are there no matter what. That’s impressive. We expect to win championships. I can’t wait to play for an organization and a fan base that expects the exact same thing.
…
A week later, we still don’t get it.But again, for the sake of being fair, the Eagles brass knows what it is doing. Reid, Tom Heckert, and Joe Banner are great at what they do.
Does it justify this move?
In my opinion, no
source
The fans booed.
Last year Jeff Garcia played for Philly and did a great job. Jeff used to play for the Detroit Lions and that takes us to Detroit’s second pick in the Draft – Drew Stanton.
That part will be in Part II along with comments on John Beck of the Dolphins
