		<description>um, I&#039;m sure you can load books via usb and such. It&#039;s just that to get Amazon content you have to be connected over the air. You can load up non-DRM content from your PC.

Another option if you have not already spent $400 is to use the cell phone you already have as an eBook reader. Many (most?) cell phones are java enabled and make a fine book reader. I use http://www.booksinmyphone.com - they have selection for free (gratis) books you can install on your phone.

The reading experience is pretty compelling, its just you and the book. If you have the internet on our phone you can install from the mobile version of their site, otherwise from your PC. If all the stars are aligned right (phone model and carrier) then it can be a great way to carry a little library.</description>
