King and Spielberg Creating TV Series

Best-selling horror author, Stephen King, has some experience when it comes to having his novels adapted into films or TV movies but he hasn’t teamed up with Steven Spielberg before (to the best of my knowledge).

The pair will be working on a limited event series based on King’s Under The Dome under Dreamworks TV.   Of course, the plot unfolds in a small tourist trap of a town in Maine.  Some sort of force comes down on the area and the locals end up at war with each other.

I’m not surprised at all that this all goes down in Maine.  Heck, Stephen King has scared me off the area so much that I have never been there and I used to live so close!

Doesn’t this sound like Storm of the Century and about a million other storylines developed by King?  What makes this one so special?  I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
