Kings of Leon “Use Somebody”

The Kings of Leon have released another track from their Only By The Night album (which Justin Timberlake recently revealed he listens to all the time on his iPod) to follow up on the success of “Sex on Fire.”kingsofleononlybythenight

The song was supposedly inspired by a fight the band had when they were touring in 2007 in Glasgow.  Doesn’t it remind you of old-school Bruce Springsteen or something?  At the same time, I hear a little of The Killers in the guitar chords too.  It’s a good song but I don’t know if it’s as good as “Sex on Fire.”  Still, I have to confess that I like this band a lot more than sometimes want to admit.

They performed the song on March 14, 2009 as part of the relief “Sound Relief” benefit concert in Melbourne, Australia.  It really is a great song choice for that type of event.  Proceeds went towards helping the survivors of the Victorian bushfire.  Here’s a video of the performance:
