Konami: “No MGS4 on 360, for God’s sake leave us alone.”

Once again there rumours have been flying thick about Metal Gear Solid possibly being released on the Xbox 360, and once again Konami has risen to say “No. No. No.”

The creators behind the popular Metal Gear Solid series seem to be pretty adamant about Metal Gear Solid 4 remaining exclusive to the Playstation 3. Frustrated PS3 owners have long since whispered about MGS4 being their golden hope, their one chance to thumb their noses at satisfied Wii and 360 owners. If the game did go cross-platform…well, the repercussions would certainly be interesting. As it is, the Playstation 3 probably feels like a lesser twin who has to share all his toys and birthday parties with his more popular sibling. Losing Metal Gear Solid 4’s loyalty would result in a lot of muffled sobbing and possibly the ill use of a razor blade.

Don’t worry dear Playstation 3, there’s nothing to worry about. Konami shouldn’t betray you.
