Kurt Angle Released from WWE

Ok, using performance-enhancing substances in sports is nothing new AND wrestling is no exception. I’ve talked about this before.

But trying to do drug tests in WWE is like going to Germany and asking if David Hasslehoff is hot. You know the answer you’ll get.

So isn’t it a coincidence now that WWE’s head honcho Vince McMahon is launching a “wellness program” where there will be drug tests and after a few months Kurt Angle is calling it quits?

This is the official statement from the WWE, “Due to personal issues, Kurt Angle has been granted an early release from his contract. WWE looks forward to establishing a new relationship with Kurt in the near future.”

Maybe the timing is a little bit off. But who knows maybe Angle’s own reason being, “My body is so beat up and run down, I can’t even think straight,” is the way to go.
