LabVIEW 8.2.1 which is a graphical design platform for test, control and embedded system development now supports Windows Vista for 32-bit and 64-bit versions as announced by their maker — National Instruments.

The 8.2.1 version of LabVIEW includes desktop development environment, Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA modules. The software supports a variety of platforms — Windows XP, Windows 2000, Mac OS X and Linux.

Current NI Standard Service Program (SSP) members can download the latest LabVIEW version in NI Services Resource Center.

Tim Dehne, NI senior vice president of R&D has this to say:

National Instruments continues to be among the first to market with compatibility for the latest PC technologies, including Windows Vista. It is important that we provide support for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista because NI strongly believes in letting customers choose the system that provides the best fit for their needs.
