First let’s set the scene. It is time for Detroit Lions football to be on TV. My wife wants to go to the store. A family trip with the 3 kids. You know the kind that is well intentioned and gets you out of the house, but you end up spending too much money and everyone gets crabby and the kids misbehave. Then next week you do it all over again. Sort of a Bill Murray in Ground Hogs day. (Go rent this movie, at least to see Andie MacDowell. Squibster has spoken)

Now before you think your gallivanting author has lost it, keep in mind… the DVR has been set to record the Detroit Lions game in Hi Def. If you do not have Hi Def and a Dual DVR, then geez, what are you thinking? Go to Best Buy or Circuit City right now. Call your cable company or satellite company right now. The close ups will make you feel like you are in the huddle.

So upon arriving home the DVR begins to play the Lions, but sneak peeks are taken of the live games going on to get scores. The stats are needed to see how my Fantasy Football team is doing. My opponent has LaDainian on his team.

They post LT has 1 TD. LT has 2 TD’s. LT has 3 TD’s. Now it is half time. Half Time? Are you kidding me? He has 3 TDs at half time? He ends up with 4 TD’s on only 71 yards.

Now here is the funny part. The recorded Lions game is also giving stats for the 1 o’clock games. Marc Bulger is cranking it up for St. Louis in a big game against Seattle. Touchdown to Tory Holt. (Squibster full disclosure – Tory is on my Fantasy Football team)

Touchdown number 2 to Tory Holt. Touchdown number 3 to Tory Holt. Wow! 3 TDs to offset LaDanian’s 4 TDs.

Top it off, Roy Williams and Deion Branch (Squibster full disclosure – Roy and Deion are on my Fantasy Football team) are both having incredible days. Roy’s performance is playing out right before my eyes.

If Jon Kitna does not under throw Williams twice, he would have tacked on 70 more yards and 2 TDs to go with the 161 yards and 1 TD that he ended up with. Roy now leads the league in receiving yardage. Thank You, Mike Martz.

Deion, meanwhile, has 2 TD catches. Hey, this Fantasy Football can sometimes be easy!
