Las Vegas Poker Tips

Cash games at the Riviera got really interesting late at night. At about 1am or so, the people at the table had a nice share of alcohol and were happy just to play poker and slap the person’s back next to them. I missed one of the nights the guys were all talking about the next day. I heard one guy walked away with like $3,000. Keep in mind this is a 1-2 no limit table and most of the people don’t start with much more than $250 in front of them. I usually started with $75-$125 in chips. The logic here was this money was the most I could lose in one sitting. If I won, then I’d be able to parlay that into more money without the inherit risk of throwing more of my own money on the table. The strategy worked well for me as I built my chip stack up several times. I also had to re-buy, but hey no sweat. I had only lost $100 or so and could afford to throw another century bill out there and get back in the game.
