The hand-picked team in charge of steering our country out of the “most serious financial crisis in our lifetime” continues to impress. Lawrence Summers, who’s only the head of the National Economic Council, decided that the Fiscal Sustainability Summit was a good place to take a nap.
What? You thought a meeting of the 130 supposedly best and brightest minds in economics would be scintillating?
When questioned about his cat nap, the former Treasury secretary and Harvard president suggested there might be “an intrinsic ability for women and people who are in decent shape to stay awake during policy discussions.”
