LeBron James Injures a Trash Can

Tom Brady isn’t the only athlete we can talk about when it comes to boots. LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers was filmed actually giving the boot (yay for YouTube and German announcers!) to an inconveniently located—and quite likely sore today—trash can on Friday night.

Losing to the Phoenix Suns 110-108 thanks to a Shawn Marion sinker with 1.1 seconds to go sealed the fate of both the Cavs and the aforementioned trash can. James was none too pleased with himself for missing a pair of lay-ups in the fourth quarter.

But really, what did the trash can do all night but helpfully collect empty cups, used programs, and past-its-prime chewing gum? The only forgivable thing about this might be if a prototype of those Yankees-inspired sneakers LeBron created with Nike were somehow involved in the process. Then it would all make sense.
