There is some great news for French adventure game developer, Microïds that hit the internet today! An American company, Legacy Interactive, has signed an agreement with Microïds that will allow people in North America to do a digital purchase of many of Microïds games. That’s pretty freaking awesome.

Here’s the information from the press release:

Casual games developer and publisher
Legacy Interactive today announced their agreement with Encore, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Navarre Corporation, to distribute the popular Microïds
adventure video games to all North American portals as digital downloads.
The agreement will include the highly anticipated titles “Dracula 3: The
Path of the Dragon” the latest sequel in the Dracula series, as well as
“Sinking Island” by Benoit Sokal, the creator of the renowned Syberia
franchise. Both downloads are available today to coincide with the retail
release of the games.

The game prices on Legacy Interactive’s website are going for $29.99 a pop and will probably offer you hours of enjoyment. Unless you’re a genius and can beat adventure games in 20 minutes. Then it really isn’t worth the $29.99. Chances are, though, that you ARE NOT a genius if you are here reading this website. Not to say that people who come here aren’t smart. But if you were a genius who could beat an adventure game in 20 minutes, you’d probably be reading on a website about rocket science.
