Legends of Zork – An online adventure game!
What happens when you take a classic interactive fiction adventure game, spiff it up with new features and put it on the Internet to be played in a browser? Well, you get Jolt Online Gaming making a new Zork game called Legends of Zork!
Not only will you be able to play this game from wherever you can reach an Internet browser, you’ll actually get to play Zork with other people! Yes, a browser game that is also an MMO! So, you can play it on your iPhone, your DS that can get onto the Internet and on your Windows Mobile phones. Not to mention your regular old PC.
Here is the story thus far:
The Great Underground Empire has recently fallen and the land is in disarray. The Royal Treasury has been sacked. The stock market has collapsed, leading even mighty FrobozzCo International to fire employees from throughout its subsidiaries. A craze of treasure-hunting has swept through the remnants of the Great Underground Empire. The New Zork Times reports that trolls, kobolds and other dangerous creatures are venturing far from their lairs. Adventurers and monsters are increasingly coming into conflict over areas rich with loot. It’s a dangerous time to be a newly-unemployed traveling salesman, but it’s also a great time to try a bit of adventuring.
Now, this is the sort of thing that I live for!
