Part 8 Of My Series About LinkedIn
LinkedIn Answers is very similar to Yahoo Answers. According to Yahoo Answers, if you ask questions, real people will answer you. LinkedIn Answers has created this same feature for the LinkedIn Community. Personally, I believe it is an excellent tool. It is a great way to synergize with other professionals as well as share your expertise and knowlege.
Some of the features of LinkedIn Answers include:
1. Categories
Here is a sample of the categories available:
*Administration
*Business Operations
*Career and Education
*Finance and Accounting
*Finance and Marketing
*Hiring and Human Resources
2. Ask a Question – This is your opportunity to ask questions about anything. From writing a book, to getting a job and anything in between.
3. Answers from the LinkedIn Community – This is actually a benefit. Being part of the LinkedIn Community gives you access to experts.
4. Best Answer – If you ask a question, you get to select the best answer to the question. I can tell you as a Yahoo Answers participant, that is my favorite part. I like having my answers selected as the best answer.
5. See questions asked by people in your Connections. Also a great feature.
To sum up this post today, Scott Allen from LinkedIntelligence, here at b5media wrote about Barak Obama yesterday because he asked a question on LinkedIn. This is a must read. The question: How can the next President Better Help Small Business and Entrepreneurs Thrive? There are over 1,200 answers to his question. It would probably take me a couple of hours to get through the answers. What a powerful tool for the presidential candidates to use in the world we live in today. Got questions? The inspiration of this series of posts this month comes from Jason Alba’s new book, I’m On LinkedIn, Now What???

It’s true. I actually made a couple of connections based on answers that I got when I posted a question.
Hi Michael, Thanks for visiting Interview Chatter and leaving a comment. I have had the same experience. I have met people and I have been able to connect with people, share my experiences, that they can use in their organizations. I liked Linkedin Answers! I am glad you have had the opportunity to make some connections. Feel free to stop by anytime!
