Lisandro Wins 2nd Bracelet

Apparently good things come in twos in the 2009 WSOP.  First Phil Ivey got two.  Then Brock Parker took center stage.  Now Jeffrey Lisandro has won his second bracelet and third overall.  In his latest win, Lisandro whiddled down a 4-1 chip deficit against Farzad Rouhani after four hours of heads-up play to win it all.  The field was 164 players.  His first win came in the $1,500 7-card Stud event.

* Edit – my apologies to Jeff Lisandro – here is a video of a Lisandro interview – thanks to Uli for pointing this out and no thanks to Bluff Magazine for misdirecting me with this line:

After the tournament Lisandro refused to speak with reporters and left immediately after taking photos.

Here is the Lisandro link to the story saying he didn’t grant any interviews.

For some unknown reason, Lisandro left after having his pictures taken without speaking to reporters.  I’m waiting for the explanation behind this one (see edit).  What a JA.  I never have liked Lisandro’s personality, but this act really takes the cake.  The media and poker fans everywhere would have liked nothing more than to celebrate his win, but evidently Lisandro had more important stuff to get on to.  If he had to go get something to eat or go to the bathroom, I can understand that, but you got to come back and indulge those that promote.
