Live Writer vs. Word 2007 Blogging

There seems to be a Blogging Grudge Match taking place internally at Microsoft.

In this corner, weighing in at $FREE and single install of just 4.74MB, Microsoft just released Windows Live Writer, a stand alone blogging application that works with a variety of blog platforms.

And in the other corner, weighing in at $HUNDREDS and a massive install of ????MB, Microsoft Word 2007, a sibling in the latest Office suite to be released that also works with a variety of blog platforms.

LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE BLOG!

I just downloaded the Microsoft Live Writer app and am installing it now. I’ll play with it a little bit and grab some screen shots, and let you know how it turns out.
