LJ’s stock is slipping, time to sell, maybe buy a little Moss

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Larry Johnson had an awesome year last year, but does not look in line to repeat it this year. (Squibster full disclosure – Larry led my fantasy team, the Spartans, to the regular season championship last year, which it turns out, means nothing.)

The loss of Trent Green, the talk of Brodie Croyle, and the potential holdout have reduced Larry from a 2nd pick in the Fantasy draft to a 4th pick.

He was selected after the trio of LaDainian Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander and Steven Jackson in the NFL Draft and after Tomlinson, Jackson and Frank Gore in the FOX Draft. Of course, L.J. will move to third or even second on rank lists if a holdout is avoided, but for now there’s some risk. source

Meanwhile Randy Moss, after two sub par seasons, is rising to be a second wide receiver in most drafts with the potential to surprise big to the positive side. (Squibster full disclosure – in full disbelief that Randy could stink two years in a row, he sat on Squibster’s bench for half the season, which was pretty much where he sat with the Raiders.)

He was selected in the fourth round in both the NFL and FOX drafts and was one of the first No. 2 fantasy wideouts off the board. In fact, he was selected ahead of borderline No. 1 or 2 fantasy receivers such as Anquan Boldin, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Donald Driver and Andre Johnson. While Moss still has the talent to produce nice statistical totals, I’m not sold that he is more valuable than the aforementioned wideouts in a Patriots offense that is loaded with talent and will spread the football out a lot to utilize all of its weapons.

NFL Football Fan Question Will you be drafting Moss or not drafting Larry?

As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.
