Logitech’s Lapdesk Keeps Your Legs Cool

Laptops have all but killed the desktop, according to popular scuttlebutt. Unfortunately, one thing laptops don’t do well is stay cool. If you use yours on your lap (as I do), then you know that they can get painfully hot. And there’s never a good place to put a mouse.

Logitech has a stylish new solution to this problem, called the Portable Lapdesk N315, a thin, light pad that sits between your laptop and your lap. It protects your legs from overheating, and includes a retractable mousepad. It has a washable surface that’s easy to clean, and features an anti-slip top to keep your computer in place.
The Lapdesk is designed to fit PC or Mac laptops with displays up to 15″ in size. It measures approximately 14.5″ long x 10.25″ wide x just over 1 centimeter thick, and weighs just 1.75 lbs. It comes with a limited 3-year warranty.

The Logitech Portable Lapdesk N315 will be available in the U.S. this month for $29.99.
