Looking for Love….on Your Blackberry

Are you addicted to the Crackberry? Has your obsession with checking your e-mail every few minutes ruined your social life and doomed you for life as a tech spinster or bachelor. Fear not because there is a new dating service specifically for Blackberry users called…wait for it….Dateberry that will save you or least get you hooked up with other people who have as many problems putting away the Blackberry as you do.
According to a story in the Globe & Mail, Toronto entrepreneur Rasool Verjee believes there is a huge opportunity to play matchmaker for the millions of Blackberry users across North America. Dateberry will launched in April with an invitation-only $24 a month service. The testimonial on the Dateberry Web site is either hilarious or pretty sad:
Brilliant. Finally an online community that restricts membership to like minded individuals who share a passion for the blackberry. I have never met anyone with a blackberry whom I would hesitate to strike up a conversation with” – Baroness Elide von Alvensleben.
What’s next? A dating service for MacBook or iPod users?
