LSU cans head coach Brady

LSU fired head coach John Brady on Friday after an 8-13 start to the 2007-08 campaign. The Tigers are in the cellar of the SEC West division with a 1-6 record.
Brady’s last game on the bench will be against #7 Tennessee this Saturday. After the game, assistant coach Butch Pierre will assume head coaching duties for the remainder of the season.
This is definitely an example of “what have you done for me lately”. It was only two years ago that Brady took the Tigers to the Final Four.
For Tigers fans and the LSU athletics administration, those two years seem like an eternity.
The SEC is one of the top college basketball conferences in the country, and you don’t keep your job for very long by going 8-13. It has nothing to do with loyalty – it has to do with winning.
Either you win now, or you’re gone.
