LucasArts’ Fracture lets you change the terrain

More new shooters coming your way. This time, it’s LucasArts at the helm. The game: Fracture. The sales pitch: terrain deformation. If you can get past all the marketingspeak, you’ll find the trailer below quite intriguing.

I was just wondering though: when you throw some sort of energy grenade on the ground, isn’t it supposed to blast a hole in the earth, not raise its level? Why does the ground shift like waves when an explosion occurs instead of throwing up tons of dirt up in the air? Sure, some soil is kicked up, but the amount is too minimal to be believable.

Back to the drawing board, fellas.
