Management coaching with Aloha

Rosa Say, author of Managing With Aloha (free manifesto here), has extended a remarkable offering to all managers willing to take her up on it. She’s launching a year-long program, based in values, that explores the nature of management and how our values relate to our work. It’s shaping up to be a very thoughtful and challenging exercise.

She actually started on Monday, January 16th, but is appropriately flexible for latecomers, or folks who stumble upon the series later down the road:

However, the reality of life is that you can’t always start at the beginning. We’ve all had experiences where we get excited about ideas we know hold promise for us, but there’s no going back and there’s no starting over. The trick it seems, is to just start where you are, and do what you can. You are already working. You already have responsibilities. You want to initiate small improvements one at a time, and as you can, simply starting from where you are right now.

Though the program is largely self-paced, Rosa’s comments section is very active with participants checking in and asking questions, so you shouldn’t feel like you’re working through it alone. Along with being whip smart and gracious, Rosa is quick on the email, so if you ever have nagging questions or concerns that you didn’t want to air publicly, I’m quite sure she’d be responsive.
