Marlon McCree Signs with the Jaguars

Marlon McCree, who spent last season with the Denver Broncos, has signed a deal to return to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The safety spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Jaguars.

After leaving Jacksonville, McCree played two seasons with the Houston Texans, one season with the Carolina Panthers, two seasons with the San Diego Chargers and one year with the Broncos.

With Denver last season, McCree played in eight games and registered 29 tackles. In his career, he has 448 tackles, 16 interceptions, four forced fumbles and three sacks.

Jacksonville will likely use McCree as a backup safety behind Sean Considine and Reggie Nelson. He’ll provide good injury insurance and a veteran voice in the lockerroom.
