Massive Sales for Windows Vista via Citigroup

Citigroup is on the brink of updgrading their massive volume of 500,000 computers to Windows Vista in the next 14 months admidst layoffs and IT restructuring as reported by CEO Steve Ballmer during an event at Redmond.
The initial plan of Citigroup as reported by Citigroup IT executive, Jagdish Rao would be in July starting with their 350, 000 computers and eventually upgrade all their computers including laptops.
The amount of licenses Windows Vista is selling right now is bigger than everyone thought and expected from Microsoft’s latest operating system. Aside from that, reports say that consumers are getting the premium edition more than the basic version of Windows Vista. The added features prove people’s desire for added functionality rather than a cut down version delivering only minimal performance.
The power and potential of Windows Vista to exceed expectations is loud and clear; the biggest factor are the tools that would help consumers and businesses deploy and test all their applications to the new platform. The easier the migration, the faster consumers would be shifting to the new operating system.
Vista does indeed have some nice new features and functions, but there is a major issue that has to be solved before it it used in a network environment. Network file copy and hanging windows explorer.
Widows Explorer hangs/dies very easy. All you have to do is put in a blank cdrom and click on the cdrom drive letter. Explorer goes out to lunch and you have to use Task Manager to kill the app. Same thing with network drives, USB sticks, and any removable media.
I have installed Vista Busines, Home Premiun, and Ultimate and find the same issue with each version.

I understand your grief and have experienced hang-ups on a blank dvd rom. Actually even when the DVD disc has written data, Vista sees it as a blank disc.
I hope they get that corrected right away.
