McDonald’s Asian-Inspired Food for Olympics

July 1, 2008 by Jeanne Dupuis

McDonald’s is trying to cash in on the Olympic action by creating Asian-inspired fare just in time for the Beijing Summer Games.  Different varieties of the food will be available around the world.  For example, in Latin American nations, they are offering a Beijing Burger with chop suey and breaded sticks of rice and in Denmark, dietitians have helped them come up with a 310-calorie Olympic chicken burger.  I don’t really eat fast-food anymore but, if the mood strikes and the dish sounds tasty, I might give it a try.

Here’s a commercial for the chicken nuggets:

I haven’t noticed anything special on the menu here in Beijing, but then again I don’t make it to McDonalds very often.
