Mega Man 9 on PSN After All. Also: Sexy New Trailer

We have to endure lies throughout our lifetime, like when our teachers tell us that we all have the potential to be astronauts (behind the counter at McDonalds).

Lies are bad, but sometimes happy lies occur. For example, when Mr Keiji Inafune said he had no plans to release Mega Man 9 on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade (”Why, do fans want it?”), he was just being a mischievous scamp. PS3 owners will be getting their 8-bit glory after all.

IGN has the full details as well as a great new trailer full of gloriously high-pitched NES music. It’s enough to bring a tear to your eye and send your dogs running for the hills.

We don’t yet know if the game will feature multiple playable characters, but I spy a hint with my little eye: at the end of the trailer, you can see Roll flying by on the RushJet, probably about two seconds away from crashing the whole shebang.

I want to play as Protoman cuz he’s mysterious and he wears a scarf.
