Memory Lane with Windows 1.0

Windows 1.0

I am reading this post from MaximumPC about the release of Windows 1.0 25 years ago. The announcement was made by Bill Gates in 1983 at New York’s Helmsley Palace Hotel. He then announced that Windows 1.0 would be released in 1984; but as it turned out, they were a year late by releasing 1.0 in 1985. In the first iteration of Windows, a new era of graphical computing power was seen.

Half a century later, Microsoft is still committed to user interface design as seen in Vista and still late in their actual production release. :)
