MGS4 is coming out on June 12

Here’s great news, courtesy of Spencer at Siliconera. Metal Gear Solid 4 would be released simultaneously worldwide on June 12. “But Mike, we already know that,” you say.

Think again. News sources (like GameSpot) merely announced that the game is coming in mid-June, but thanks to Siliconera, we now know that Konami is planning a simultaneous worldwide release.

See more details after the jump.

Spencer also revealed that other than the disc-only version of MGS4, a special edition with a bonus Blu ray disc and a PS3 console bundle will ship in Japan on the same day. These versions would come with a Metal Gear Online “starter pack.”

According to Siliconera, players in North America can get this starter pack if they preorder MGS4. However, any solid plans have yet to be revealed as regards the special edition being released outside Japan.

  1. Mike I already knew that…well that was sometime after it was posted. ^_^

I was expecting a late July release myself so this is great news, even better that Konami kept their simulataneous worldwide release promise.

It sounds like the bonuses are the same as what Japan got in the 20th Anniversary Pack (that was removed from the American set).

Thats some crazy as artwork as well.

  2. Mike says:

MGS4 is probably the second-to-the-last game I’ll buy this year. Last is Fallout 3.
