Michael Crabtree stolen by 49ers

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Maybe it is just me, but when a wide receiver has a lot of bling and a lot of ego and a lot of college stats, then my prediction is that he is a lot of NFL receiver. Now the grammar may be bad there, but the intent is not.
How could Crabtree fall to 10th in the draft?
How could Oakland pick Darrius Heyward-Bey, a speedy receiver from Maryland with a whole lot of less stats. Again with the bad grammar. Has anyone seen my bling?
Yes, this is the same picture as a few days ago, but...Erin Andrews!
Al Davis went for speed and passed on Crabtree, in spite of the fact that Crabtree got it done in college like few receivers have ever got it done.
Crabtree’s production at Texas Tech was the stuff of video games and dwarfed that of Heyward-Bey. After redshirting as a freshman, Crabtree finished with 231 catches, 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns in 26 games. Heyward-Bey made 138 receptions for 2,089 yards and 13 scores in 38 games for the Terrapins.
It was thought that Seattle, drafting fourth, might choose Crabtree after using nine different starters last season at receiver. The Seahawks opted for linebacker Aaron Curry.
Cleveland, picking fifth, also was viewed as a candidate for his services in its desire to improve a punchless offense. That all changed when the Browns, eager to fill numerous holes, agreed to fall to 17th as part of a blockbuster trade that allowed the New York Jets to snag quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Singletary said of Crabtree’s availability, “We had no idea he would be there at 10. It was one of the last scenarios we thought we’d end up with.”
Crabtree vowed to use the day’s events to add fuel to his fire.
Time will tell if Al Davis was smarter than the 49ers, but my guess is that he is not.
Michael Crabtree appears destined for a pretty darn good NFL career.
