Michael Phelps and the quest for the Holy Grail

Well, not really the “Holy Grail,” but it is a quest for gold; what could be his eighth gold medal of the 2008 Olympic games. Michael Phelps is currently preparing for his eighth and final race at Beijing, the 4×100m medley relay.

In just about 40 minutes, Phelps will be just diving into the pool at his chase for legendary status. There are some people who don’t want Phelps to stop swimming (see NBC ratings). But all good things have to come to an end. And whether Phelps and the Americans win or lose the 4×100m medley relay, he will undoubtedly be the talk of the 2012 Olympics. But for now, we can only wait for this race.

They won! They won! They won! They won! Now imagine me saying that while running around my apartment. USA!

LOL - nice…. Yes - it was a great race. There was a time when I said, “Maybe Japan will end up winning and spoil this whole deal!” But in the end - the US proved to be too much!
