Michael Phelps, Man of Wax

The good news is, eight-time Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps is now famous enough to warrant his own wax likeness.
The bad news is, it isn’t by Madame Tussaud’s. The National Museum Wax Art Exhibition of Beijing has the honors. Luckily, we’re not wax museum snobs. (Our snobbery is currently limited to coffee, chocolate, vodka, tea, literature, films, and food, with our wine tastes just on the cusp of snobbishness). Heck, the closest we’ve ever come to getting a wax likeness is sticking our finger in still-warm candle wax.

What was Phelps’ response to the honor? Sometimes pictures say it best:
Well, we don’t know if that was really his reaction. But you have to admit, it was a good excuse to post a picture of Phelps in mid-yawn.
