Mike Vick deserves a second chance playing in the NFL reguardless of what he has done, let the man change his image and pay for what he did. Wait until Thursday. Camp opens for the Falcons. While the idiot is in court being arraigned, find him in breech of contract and cut him, without pay.

Why should the Falcons pay this jerk to stay away?

For the sake of argument, let’s ass-u-me he’s not guilty of being a “party to the crimes”. As an NFL player and “role model” (like it or not, our sports starts are role models), he has a responsibility to keep his image appropriate. The fact that he let himself be in a position to even be investigated, much less indicted is reason enough to sharpen the fork! (or maybe we should use the “dull spoon” of Robin Hood fame.)

James, I couldn’t believe most of the stuff I read in the federal documents. It seems the only thing that will keep him out of the big house is a plea bargain. Once that happens the NFL will suggest he find another career outside of the NFL. Hope Joey has a great year in Atlanta so we don’t have to hear about Michael and the dogs as their season falls apart.

Why should he be allowed to take a “leave of absence”? Sit on his ass and collect milllions??? Suspend him until after the trial, then it won’t make a difference, because he’ll be in prison. HE’S the animal, not those poor creatures he executed!

There’s a reason the indictment was so detailed. Likely the prosecutors were sending a message to the NFL… this is what we intend to prove in court and there’s more here where that came from. Vick should ask the team for a leave of absence as everyone is suggesting just to attempt to preserve his income. And you can kiss that Nike contract goodbye too.
